Melancon, of Folsom, Calif., will be in charge expanding RMS’s network of agents and program participants throughout California and the rest of the nation.

Melancon has a decade of experience in the wireless industry, having owned retail stores and served as sales manager for a rural carrier in Northern California.

Melancon also brings a California presence to the company. Also, California recently enacted the Cellular Phone Recycling Act of 2004, which requires retailers of cellular phones to offer no-cost recycling options for consumers by June 2006. Similar legislation is pending in several other states.
